Arunachal gets first cathedral, Asia’s largest idol of Christ unveiled

Christianisation of India is going on in full swing with American money and Congress’ political protection through the Vatican plant in the Gandhi family. Hindus and Buddhists have begun to enjoy the fruits of secularism unleashed by Nehru.

And still there would be millions and millions of Hindus who will stand in queue on election day to vote for the Congress party. Is there any limit to political blindness, or is it a mere death wish? I personally think Hindus have uncultivated minds which makes them masters of the profound but blind to the obvious.

Notice the trend — first the church quietly sends in the missionaries, then some people are converted, then this population of new converts is used an excuse by the church to step in and erect a church. Then the missionaries are told to move on to a new area, gain soft entry by opening some clinics or orphanages, and the process begins all over again …

Arunachal is Buddhist, with Christians making only five per cent of the population. Shouldn’t it have had the tallest statue in Asia of Buddha instead? Shhh…. don’t let the Congress party hear it.

Asia’s biggest statue of Christ unveiled DIBRUGARH, – Asia’s biggest statue of Jesus Christ was unveiled in Miao in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh along with the opening of the first Cathedral in the State on Sunday.The biggest statue of Jesus Christ in Asia, as claimed by the Bishop P K George of Miao was unveiled by State’s Finance Minister Setong Sena. The white coloured mighty fibre statue made in Kolkata is over 12 metres in height. The statue stands in front of the Cathedral located on a picturesque hill top in the Upper Colony area of Miao.
The religious dedication ceremony of the Cathedral was led by Cardinal Telesphore P Toppo. Archbishop Thomas Menamparampil of Guwahati, Archbishop Domnic Jala of Shillong, Bishop Joseph Aind of Dibrugarh, local Bishop P K George, Bishop Victor Lyngdoh of Nongstoin took part in the ceremony, besides 60 other priests. During the ceremony, the newly erected two storeyed Cathedral was blessed by Cardinal Toppo.
About twelve thousand people from different parts of Arunachal Pradesh, besides Christians from the neighbouring States thronged to take part in the opening ceremony.
